Frequently Asked Questions
What is Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is typically a talk-based therapy that aims to improve peoples mental health and well-being. As Registered Psychotherapists we work with individuals, couples and families to support positive changes in thinking, feeling and capacity. People often seek psychotherapy when they are struggling with their mood, relationships, capacity to function and process difficult life experiences. The most important predictor of success in Pyschotherapy is the therapeutic relationship between you and your therapist.
How much does Psychotherapy cost?
Psychotherapy costs vary depending on the therapist and length of session. Some therapists offer longer sessions as well as specialized modalities and services that can impact the cost. Typically, most clients participate in 50 min. sessions that can range between $165 - $200. Sliding scale rates may be negotiated depending on your individual financial situation

The number of sessions needed varies depending on the issues being faced and your unique needs. Typically, clients participate in more frequent sessions when they need more support in the beginning and then transition to less frequent, as needed sessions or maintenance support.
